There are always a lot of flower pictures on AM3 and other blogs. THis one is also very beautiful. How come that people like flowers that much? After all it's only the parts of a plant needed for reproduction. Evolution theory cannot explain men's love for flowers, because we don't need it for our living, they are only there to be admired. Yes, insects also like flowers, but that fits into the system of Nature. Sorry that I became a bit philosophical, thanks to your lovely flowers!

Thanks for the photo, Saeed, flowers are fleeting jewels... and for those of scientific mind (like me) they can be seen in a mundane scientific, analytical way or appreciated for their beauty. I love science but find that thinking in a scientific way can destroy a lot of magic.... So I look at flowers mostly for their beauty.
